Nankang tyres: studded and sport tyres from Taiwan
Nankang Rubber Tire was established in 1959 and, by its own account, has the longest history of any Taiwanese tyre maker; its plants are in Taiwan (Hsin-Fung) and China (Zhangjiagang). The company has been listed since 1963 and its test laboratory is TÜV SÜD-accredited.
Winter is where Nordkit's Nankang range is largest: the Nordic friction tyre WS-1 for cars, the studded SW-9, SW-8 and SW-7, ICE-1 (friction) and IV-1 (studded) for vans, and the Central-European style SV-4 and SV-3. For summer there are AS-2+ and NA-1 for everyday cars, AS-3 as the newer generation, NEX-1 for small cars and the NS-2R semi-slick for track days.
Nankang's size range is unusually wide — R10 to R23 — so there is a tyre here for an older small car, a trailer or a sports car with an unusual size. Every tyre shows the EU label and DOT year, and by default the list shows only tyres available as a set of four.

WS-1
