Agricultural and industrial tyres by use

Agricultural and industrial tyre sizes come in several forms: metric 500/55-17 or 620/70R42, inch 7.50-18 or 18.00R25, solid 140/55-9 on forklifts. Filter by use — tractor, loader and industrial, forklift, forestry — and compare ply rating (PR) and tube type (TL tubeless, TT tube type).

Every tyre shows the supplier's data: size as the maker writes it, ply rating, load and speed index where given, and the year of manufacture. Prices are per tyre.

What does 16PR mean?

PR (ply rating) is the carcass strength class, not the physical number of plies. A higher PR carries more load and higher pressure.

TL or TT?

TL (tubeless) needs no inner tube, TT (tube type) does. Check the rim: a TL tyre needs a tubeless rim.

What do SB or HD mean?

Maker's markings: SB (steel belt) is a steel-belted carcass, HD (heavy duty) a reinforced construction. These are supplier data, not our assessment.

Frequently asked questions about agricultural and industrial tyres

Do agricultural and industrial tyres have an EU label?

No. Regulation (EU) 2020/740 covers car, van and truck tyres; agricultural and industrial tyres are outside its scope. We show the supplier's technical data without a label.

How do I read the size?

A metric tyre (500/55-17) gives the width in millimetres and the sidewall as a percentage; an inch tyre (7.50-18, 18.00R25) the width in inches. R means radial, a hyphen bias-ply. The size is on the sidewall.
